Surveying, geomatics and digital delivery

Survey and GIS are where a project's data either becomes a permanent municipal asset or evaporates at closeout. We treat field data as the start of the asset record, not the end of construction.

Construction survey, machine control models and quantity verification decide whether a contractor's claim can be tested. We provide the controls, layout and verification that let an owner say yes or no with evidence.

The same data, structured properly, becomes the municipality's GIS layer, asset inventory and condition baseline. Most municipalities pay for this information twice because it was never captured in a usable form the first time.

  • As-built and field verification surveys
  • Quantity measurement and progress verification

Digital modelling

  • Civil 3D surfaces, corridors and design models
  • 3D modelling and machine control data
  • UAV capture, photogrammetry and volumetrics
  • Earthwork quantities and grade verification

GIS and municipal data

  • GIS inventories for roads, signs, culverts and utilities
  • Asset attribution and condition data structure
  • Field data collection workflows for crews
  • Map products for Council, staff and the public

Data integration and reporting

  • Integration of survey, GIS and asset management data
  • Dashboards and automated reporting
  • Data standards, naming conventions and quality control
  • Digital handover and records management

Typical assignments

A sample of how this work usually arrives.

  • Construction survey management on a bridge or roadway project
  • GIS inventory of the road, sign and culvert network
  • UAV volumetrics for a gravel pit or landfill cell
  • Quantity verification supporting a disputed progress claim
  • Digital as-built handover that populates the asset register
