Municipal engineering, planning and land development

Growth becomes a planning question, then a servicing question, then a financing question, usually in that order and usually after the subdivision has already been supported in principle. We work those interfaces at the same time.

Development review goes wrong when land use is approved on one track and servicing capacity is confirmed on another. We evaluate the land-use configuration, the servicing solution, the offsite implications and the development agreement together, before commitments harden.

Our engineering advisory is owner-side. We are usually the party asking whether the design is buildable, whether the estimate is realistic and whether the municipality is about to inherit an asset it cannot afford to maintain.
